High above the Rhone valley, on a sunny hilltop in Riederalp, sits the traditional Chalet Morgenstern. The cosy 2nd-floor apartment was freshly renovated in 2024 and gives families with children the best conditions for a carefree ski holiday. Staying here means trading traffic noise for an alpine panorama, and the slope is literally at the door.

Skiing with no detours at all
The last run of the day ends right in front of Chalet Morgenstern, skis can simply be unclipped at the door after the final turn. Access to the cross-country network is also remarkably short: guests reach the Bux trail on foot just below the chalet. For families with young skiers, that means short distances, less hassle carrying gear, and more time to romp in the snow.
Living comfort for the whole family
The apartment has four beds, including a double room for parents and a dedicated children’s room, a cot is available on request. The modern, fully equipped kitchen as well as bed and kitchen linen and final cleaning are already included in the rental price. After a day on the slopes, the practical boot dryer, the cosy living room and the quiet non-smoking house make for relaxed family evenings.
Quiet setting with a postcard view
From the balcony and the lawn, guests enjoy an unobstructed view over the Riederalp golf course to the snow-capped Valais Alps. The standalone position on the small hilltop guarantees peace and quiet without giving up a central spot in the village. For children, the generous meadow around the chalet is an extra playground whenever the ski boots get a break.
